The Regulator of Social Housing is creating a new system for assessing how well social housing landlords in England are doing at providing good quality homes and services. In addition to introducing revised consumer standards, this will involve a set of tenant satisfaction measures that social housing landlords must report on. People will be able to use these measures to understand how well landlords are doing.
Tenant Satisfaction Measures are a new process set up by the government, intended to make it easier for social housing tenants to hold their landlords to account.
From 1 April 2023, social housing providers must begin collecting data for how they are performing in areas such as repairs, safety checks and complaints. This will be collected by regularly surveying tenants about their experience, and by logging data in particular areas.
SGH want our residents to be aware of this impending change and seek to involve you in the process as far as possible.
Tenant Satisfaction Measures emerged from the government’s 2020 Social Housing White Paper, the Charter for Social Housing Residents. The Regulator of Social Housing is in charge of enforcing the standards.
Your feedback is invaluable and helps us to shape, develop and improve our services. If you are dissatisfied with any of our services or want let us know that we have done something well you can tell us via our complaints and compliments contact page here.
The survey will be used to calculate annual TSMs to be published by the landlord.
